Tomomi’s Diary Two months Later by Hanako

これが、私が書かいた二ヶ月後にかげつごの友美ともみの日記にっきです。
Here is the diary entry I wrote for Tomomi two months after the previous events.
私の想像力そうぞうりょくを、甘あまくみたらダメよ！
Don’t underestimate my imagination!
この話はなし、好すき？嫌きらい？
Do you like my story, or not so much?

７月２２日

あれから、二ヶ月にかげつがたった。
Two months have passed since then.

研一けんいちが大好だいすきだった私は、食べ物も喉のどを通とおらなくなって、５キロ痩やせてしまった。
I really liked Kenichi, I haven’t been able to eat anything. I’ve lost 5 kilograms.

もちろん、夏美なつみとの友情ゆうじょうも終おわってしまった。
Of course, my friendship with Natsumi Is also over.

夏美からは、謝あやまりのメールが来きたけれど、返事へんじは出ださなかった。
Natsumi sent me an apology email, but I didn’t send a reply.

噂うわさによると、夏美は仕事しごとを辞やめて、研一けんいちと一緒いっしょに東京とうきょうで住すみ始はじめたらしい。
I heard the rumors that Natsumi had quit her job and started living together with Kenichi in Tokyo.

最初さいしょは、「私の何なにが悪わるかったんだろう。」と自分じぶんを責せめた。
At first I blamed myself, thinking “What’s wrong with me?”.

そして、私は外そとに出でなくなってしまった。
Then, I stopped leaving the house.

そんな私を、大学時代だいがくじだいからの友人ゆうじんの一郎いちろうさんがこの二ヶ月にかげつの間あいだ、ランチや夕食ゆうしょくに連つれて行いってくれた。
Even in that state, Ichiro, my friend from college, took me to lunch and dinner these two months.

一郎いちろうは研一けんいちの友達ともだちで、私たちは3人にんでよく遊あそびに行いくこともあった。
Ichiro was Kenichi’s friend, so the three of us often went out together.

最初さいしょは友達ともだちにしか思おもえなかったのに、最近さいきんは急きゅうに彼かれを意識いしきするようになって、会あうとドキドキするようになってきた。
Although at first I could only think of him as a friend, recently I’ve suddenly come to see him as more and my heard pounds when I see him.

一郎いちろうさんは頭あたまもよく、ハンサムで女子じょしからもモテるのに、ずっと彼女かのじょがいない。
Although Ichiro is smart, handsome, and popular with girls, he has not had a girlfriend in a very long time.

しかも、一郎いちろうさんは、大阪おおさかに本社ほんしゃがあるサントリーの社長しゃちょうの息子むすこだ。
On the top of that, he is the son of the CEO of Suntory in Osaka.

サントリーは家族経営かぞくけいえいの会社かいしゃで、一郎いちろうさんのお父とうさんの総資産そうしさんはForbesによると、６４７８億円おくえん ($6.5 billion) だそうだ。
Suntory is a family-run business and according to Forbes, his dad’s net worth is $6.5 billion.

でも、一郎さんは、会社かいしゃを継つぎたくはなく、９月がつからアメリカのマサチューセッツ大学だいがくでビジネスの勉強べんきょうをしたいそうだ。
However, rather than wanting to inherit the company, it seems that he want to go and study business at the University of Massachusetts in September.

昨日きのうの夜よる、一郎いちろうさんに、「友美ともみのことがずっと好すきだった」と言いわれた。そして、「結婚けっこんを前提ぜんていに、一緒いっしょにアメリカに来きて欲ほしい。」と言いった。
Last night, I was told by Ichiro, “I’ve always liked you.” And, he said, “I want you to come to America with me and presumption that we get married.”

こんな私でいいのだろうか？と迷まよったけれど、私は一郎さんと一緒いっしょにアメリカに行いくことにした。
I wondered if I am really good enough for him, but, I decided to go to America together with Ichiro.
