私は日本文学科を専攻しましたが、とにかく授業の時間数が多かったのは、「源氏物語」「平家物語」そしてこの「古事記」です。
乞食じゃないですよ。古事記です。
古事記は、日本最古の歴史書と言われています。
日本の天皇は神様だったという前提で、天皇の先祖とされる八百万の神様のお話です。
お話に登場する神様は現在いろんな神社で祀られています。
712年に書かれましたが、628年に亡くなった推古天皇までの話なので、もちろん日本がどのように始まったかは誰も知りません。
神様が海をかき混ぜて日本列島ができた、という話から始まりますから、初めの方はどちらかというと、おとぎ話です。
というよりも、グロテスクな話や、性的な話がいっぱいです。
上、中、下、と３つの章がありますが、神々が創造した日本についての話から始まり、武力行使の話、という流れです。
この中には色々な有名な話が入っています。
まず、天と地が二つに別れた時、天の世界の中心を司る天之御中主神が現れます。
続いて、あと4柱の神様が生まれ、天之御中主神が中心の5柱の神様となります。
そして、また別の5柱の神が生まれたあと、イザナキとイザナミが生まれます。この7柱の神を神世七世と言います。
アイドルグループのAKB48で人気投票7位までの女の子たちが、「神セブン」なんて言われていましたが、
こちらが本当の「神セブン」です。
中心の５柱の神が、神セブンである男の神のイザナキと女の神のイザナミに「矛で海をかき混ぜて国を作りなさい。」と言います。
そしてオノゴロ島という島ができました。そこで、イザナキが、「君の体はどうなっている？」と聞き、イザナミは「一箇所欠けてる部分がある。」と言い、イザナキが「僕の体には余分な部分が一箇所ある。」と言います。
そしてイザナキが、「じゃあ、君の足りないところに僕の余分なところを入れて、国を作ろう。」と言います。
ご想像の通り、これは、性行為のことです。
女子大生の花子は思いました。「え？これ、保健体育の授業？」
その後、神様ベイビーの島々が生まれますが、ぐにゃぐにゃな不完全な島だったので、５柱の神様が言います。
「女から誘ったからこうなったんだ。今度は男のイザナキから誘いなさい。」
。。。逆ナン禁止の男尊女卑思想？
ナンパとは男子が女子に声をかけることで、逆ナンとは、女子から男子に声をかけることです。
古代人は子孫繁栄につながる性行為を神聖は儀式だと考えていたので、こういう話ばかりです。
当時、純粋な花子は、驚きの連続で古事記の話を学校で勉強していました。

Now I will explain in English.
The Oldest History Book in Japan, “The Kojiki”
I majored in Japanese literature, and the books on which we spent the most class time were The Tale of Genji, The Tale of Heike, and the Kojiki, about which I’m about to tell you.
The “Kojiki” in question does not refer to “begging (乞食 ”Kojiki),” but rather, it’s a “Record of Ancient Matters (古事記”Kojiki”)”.
The Kojiki is believed to be the oldest history book in Japan.
The assumption this history takes is that Japan’s emperors are in fact gods, and their ancestors are the varied gods of the shinto pantheon.
To this very day, the gods that appear within this story are enshrined in shinto shrines throughout Japan.
The Kojiki was written in the year 712. The story is about the events that happened up until the year 628 when the emperor Suiko passed away, and of course nobody knows for sure how Japan itself came to be.
The Kojiki starts with the creation story of how the Japanese archipelago was first formed when the gods stirred up the oceans, making this more like a mythic tale than a traditional history.
But perhaps of more note are the many grotesque or sexual stories that take place within the context of The Kojiki.
There are three chapters, being “Jou (上)” , “Chu (中)” and “Ge (下).” It begins with how the gods create Japan, and moves on to stories that take place in the warring days of Japan.
The Kojiki contains numerous famous tales.
First, when the heavens and the earth were separated, a god named “Amenominakanushi” appeared.
Then, another four gods were born, together forming the five main gods.
After a subsequent five gods are born, two gods named “Izanaki” and “Izanami” also came into the world. These seven gods are called “the Gods Seven”.
The seven most popular girls in AKB48, a famed Japanese idol group, were also called the “Gods Seven” — but these seven gods can still claim to be the original “Gods Seven.”
The main five gods said onto Izanaki and Izanami, “stir the ocean with a pike.”
As they did so, the island “Onogoro” emerged from the sea. And Izanaki asked to Izanami, “how is your body?” and Izanami replied, “a piece of it is missing,” to which Izanaki said, “I have an extra piece that I don’t need.”
Then Izanaki continued, “so, let us insert my extra piece into your the place where you are lacking, and thus create a country.”
As you can imagine, this is all a metaphor for sexual intercourse.
As a university student, I thought, “Huh? Am I back in health class?”
Later on, many baby island were born from the two gods, but because those islands were porous and imperfect, the five main gods said unto them:
“This has occurred because a woman, Izanami, propositioned a man. This time, the male, Izanagi, must be the one to first apply temptation.”
…Is this some sort of male chauvinism that prohibits women hitting on men?
“Nampa” is when men try to pick up women, and “gyaku (reverse) nan” is when women hit on men.
Older Japanese people believe sexual intercourse is a holy ceremony that entreats the gods for prosperous descendants, so there are many such stories.
Back in my days of pure innocence, I encountered this series of shocking stories that lie in wait within the Kojiki during my school studies.
